Introduction To Women Entrepreneurs

Gone are those days when men were superior to women. Today’s scenario is different. Today both are looked up to as equal and qualified, holding leadership and entrepreneurial skills at different levels in different zones of the world. Some very well-considered names in this context would be Naina Lal Kidwai – HSBC Country Head and the Group General Manager, Sheryl Sandberg-COO Facebook, and many more.

One of the best-cited examples in this context would be Indra Nooyi – CEO of PepsiCo, the current chairman and CFO of the second-largest food and beverage business, PepsiCo. She started her career as a product manager positions at Johnson and Johnson and textile firm Mettur Beardsell. Naina Lal Kidwai, the second example, is the group general manager and country head of HSBC India. She was also the first woman to graduate from Harvard University.

Researchers such as Rania Habiby Anderson have interviewed 250 successful women entrepreneurs and career women in developing countries like Africa, Asia, and Latin America and have come out with some specific traits of women entrepreneurs in India. In this interview, she learned that women have served the highest dignity positions in the country and abroad and have proved to be highly qualified, even more than men in all spheres of life.

Sheryl Sandberg– COO of Facebook, says there is just a difference in the outlook of women to hold and take up challenges and tasks.

If we think about it, women are doing the same job as the one they did back home 24*7. Earlier, it used to be their families, and now, companies and organizations are exhibiting what women can do.

Quotes By Successful Woman Entrepreneurs

–Sara Blakely-Founder of Spanx, the youngest self-made female billionaire in America

“It’s important to be willing to make mistakes. The worst thing that can happen is you become memorable.”

–Wendy Kopp– Founder of Teach for All

“Change is not always a process of improvement. Sometimes it’s a process of invention. When Thomas Edison invented the light bulb, he didn’t start by trying to improve the candle. He decided that he wanted better light and went from there.”

– Clara Barton– Founder of the American Red Cross

“I may sometimes be willing to teach for nothing, but if paid at all, I shall never do a man’s work for less than a man’s pay.”

– Martha Stewart– Founder of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia

“My new motto is: When you’re through changing, you’re through.”

Selina Lo, the president and CEO of Ruckus Wireless, ran a networking startup managing the load balancing switches. She also cofounded Centillion Networks to develop Ethernet switches.

Ruckus wireless solutions provide broadband services, WLAN, and Play carrier services. They show passion, dedication, and perseverance for work. They have that willingness to overcome all hurdles and obstacles.

Many, like J.K Rowling, started later in their lives when they were to do and settled in their lives. Julia Child (Chef) started later in her life. Sam Walton (Wal-Mart) also started later, when experience, passion, and dedication drove their business to great heights. It’s life and experience which drives you.

These are original woman’s entrepreneurial ideas and original people. There is no procrastination in a startup. They are 24*7 on the job with no vacations, sick days, holidays, and leaves but with one sole goal and spirit of innovation—the desire to do something different and new drives them the long way.

Traits of Successful Women Entrepreneurs

1. Women Entrepreneurs are Undeterred

Women entrepreneurs go undeterred. Passion helps them overcome all hurdles. They have this very strong inner strength and willpower to bear along and wait for the right time. Their positive outlook to discover and innovate helps them to stand through thick and thin times. They know how much work is needed to build an excellent institution. Obstacles and hurdles are just another way of making them stronger. Thus, they go undeterred.

2. Women Entrepreneurs have a Positive Mind

Think positive, be positive. The book “the secret” throws great light on these words. If you send back positive waves and vibes, they come back to you the same. These women are no different; they never let negative thoughts shatter them. They have so much faith that their actions will eventually turn into something great. The negativity that strikes them along the way doesn’t bother them.

3. Women Entrepreneurs Refuse To Quit

The refusal to quit. The not giving up attitude is what drives them. They are undeterred. They handle all obstacles bravely and with courage. Success depends on making mistakes and admitting to the mistakes in your stride. The best part of women entrepreneurs’ stubbornness is that they have learned to apply it to the best things in life. This attitude makes women great innovators and great women entrepreneurs.

4. Women Entrepreneurs have the Networking Skill

Networking does it all. Networking helps us understand and communicate well with colleagues. It also helps to share out each other’s problems and find better solutions to them all. Networking does half the things you need to be successful. So gear up…interact…talk…speak…be it resorting to social platforms to reach out more and communicate better. Building a business from scratch is not rocket science. It’s applying all your day-to-day skills in the right direction to build an organization of profit.

5. Women Entrepreneurs have a Strong Mind

A strong mind makes a deterred, strong, and successful woman entrepreneur. A woman entrepreneur has a passion for doing great work. They learn as they proceed. To be strong means to take responsibility for your actions and keep moving forward even when everything else only seems to pull you back and to stand tall on your decisions when you know you are right.

6. Women Entrepreneurs Set Their Own Goals

She sets her own goals. She loves her work. She sets her targets and achieves them, bearing all obstacles and hurdles, so she is undeterred. And above all, she’s strong and positive in her way! This can be done through recording and writing your goals to achieve them on time. She learns how to share her vision. Hard work has never scared her and being a women entrepreneur, achieving her set ultimate career goals in any way that she can kind of runs in her blood.

7. Women Entrepreneurs Focus on the ‘Next Step’

Her mind always keeps in mind how the future will be shaped based on her actions. She knows what’s coming up next. She sets targets and knows what she has to do next. We must have a stubborn resolve to see ourselves on the other side. Being soft-hearted is equally important. She has the compassion to donate to help others in the learning process. She doesn’t need to step on others to be compassionate, she never needs to victimize people for her success, and she knows how to achieve it. Her motive is to be kind and graceful yet determined and aggressive on her way to success.

8. Women Entrepreneurs are Driven By Goals and Learn From Mistakes

A woman entrepreneur bears all hardships and takes up the challenges and strategies to succeed through self-made mistakes. She is humble to learn from each of her mistakes. She has targets and records and keeps learning in each phase of work and life. She never gives up. She never stops until she gets it done. But never will she let her mistakes and failures cloud her judgment of right and wrong.

9. Women Entrepreneurs Bind Their Character With Integrity

Integrity must be the very core of her character. She always puts honor before dollars and lives by her convictions. People seek to do business with those they trust. Many successful women entrepreneurs started later in life. J. K. Rowling (Harry Potter author), Julia Child (chef), and Sam Walton (Wal-Mart) all started their wildly successful woman entrepreneur brands after they were comfortably alone in their lives. The experience that comes with age can give you a unique outlook on your business. Life experiences bring depth that the most educated young adult, by nature, cannot foresee. She knows that integrity and kindness, though not appreciated by many, are the only way to achieving lasting success and will earn them respect.

Entrepreneurs are movers and shakers. A great learner always learns through his mistakes, takes assistance from other great leaders around him, and never shows pride in whatever he achieves; he is open to learning and then sharing and teaching.

So don’t be demotivated if you have any one of them missing within you…because she believes in learning each day from her mistakes.. she is undeterred and challenging, and she never gives up…be like her, and here’s your way to go for a better human and a better Nation. Remember, no one is perfect, and perfection is far from humanity!

The new generation of women has overcome all the negative aspects of life and has proved all these nightmares false. They are much more positive, far-sighted, and strong in their thoughts and opinions.

Women Entrepreneurs in India have always underestimated themselves. They have hidden potential if they try to discover themselves. They have unveiled the unknown name of a woman, a leader, and an entrepreneur.
