#1 Chunar Fort

The Chunar Fort is an ancient and well-known fort in Chunar. Maharaja Vikramaditya, the King of Ujjain, built it for his brother Raja Bharthari in the 16th century. According to mythology, Raja Bharthari passed away in this fort and attained Mahasamadhi. This fort also served as the setting for Anurag Kashyap’s 2012 film Gangs of Wasseypur.
