#1 Kozhikode Beach

Travelers seeking to get away from the stress and pollution of the city should head to Kozhikode Beach. The beach not only offers the best sunrise and sunset views but also hosts one of the biggest celebrations every year in January, the Malabar Mahotsavam. If you want to explore the river in Kerala, this is one of the best sites to visit in Kozhikode that you should include on your itinerary.

#2 Thusharagiri Fall

Thusharagiri waterfall is present in the Kozhikode district’s Western Ghats. The fall pours down three gorgeous waterfalls. From here, you can embark on an adventurous journey to Lakkidi Ghat.

#4 Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary

The Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary is present close to the Kadalundi River, which originates from the Arabian Sea, among several islands. Take a ride on the renowned, two-kilometer-long Pulimoodu bridge.

#6 Mother Of God Cathedral

Mother of God Cathedral is one of the top religious destinations in Kozhikode, a city well known for its pilgrimage sites. The Mother of God Cathedral, constructed in 1513 AD and situated just 1.5 kilometers from the Kozhikode Railway Station, exhibits Roman architecture. Additionally, this church is home to a well-known, vintage portrait of Mother Mary that is over 200 years old.

#7 Krishna Menon Museum

The museum is a memorial to illustrious Indian leader V.K. Krishna Menon and was established in Kozhikode in 1975. This museum, founded in East Hill, is just over five kilometers from the city’s center. The Pazhassi Raja Museum is close to this museum. Raja Ravi Varma has a number of his oil paintings on display here.

By Air :

The closest airport is Calicut International Airport which is 23 km away. To get to Kozhikode, a person can avail of a bus, taxi, or cab.

By Train :

The Kozhikode Main is conveniently situated and well-connected. Reach the hotel and sightseeing using cabs, taxis, and public transportation. Regular trains travel on all major routes and stop in major cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Jodhpur, Surat, and Agra.

By Bus :

The Kozhikode Bus Stand has excellent access to other significant Indian cities. Depending on your budget, you can choose between state-owned government buses and private buses and make online and offline reservations.
