#1 Kurukshetra

Kurukshetra is a city and Municipal Corporation in Haryana, India. It is situated 160 kilometres north of Delhi on the western bank of the holy Sarasvati River. It is also known as “Dharmakshetra” (the Holy Place).

Kurukshetra is a place of great historical and religious importance, being the battlefield of the epic Mahabharata war and the scene of the Bhagavad Gita discourse between Krishna and Arjuna. It is also home to the famous Brahma Sarovar, a holy tank believed to have been created by Lord Brahma himself. The Kurukshetra University is one of the most prestigious universities in India and is home to the Department of Sanskrit and Indian Culture. Other places of interest include the Mahabharata Museum, the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Smarak, and the Jyotisar Teerth.

#2 Sultanpur National Park

Sultanpur National Park is a bird sanctuary in the Gurgaon district of Haryana in India. It is situated 15 km from Gurgaon on the Gurgaon-Farrukhnagar road and is spread over an area of 1.43 km². The park is home to over 250 species of birds, some of which are migratory.

Migratory birds from Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, China, and Siberia come to this park in winter. It is also home to a variety of terrestrial and aquatic reptiles.

#3 Pinjore Gardens

Pinjore Gardens, also known as Yadavindra Gardens, is a 17th-century garden located in Pinjore, Haryana, India. The park is on seven terraces with lawns, flowerbeds, lotus pools, and fountains, and it is a fine example of the Mughal Gardens style.

The Archaeological Survey of India has restored it. Locals believe that Fidai Khan, the foster brother of Aurangzeb, built the gardens when the latter was the viceroy of the Deccan. Pinjore Gardens is the most popular tourist destination in Haryana, and thousands of tourists visit it yearly.

#4 Damdama Lake

Damdama Lake is in the Gurgaon district in the Indian state of Haryana. It is the largest lake in Haryana and is in the Aravalli Range of hills. Damdama Lake is a popular tourist spot located about 25km from Gurgaon, near the villages of Damdama and Sohna.

The green Aravali hills surround the lake and offer a picturesque view. The lake is an essential water source for Gurgaon and the surrounding areas. There are several boat clubs and resorts located near the lake. The lake is also famous for adventure activities like camping, trekking, and rock climbing. The lake also serves as an excellent spot for birdwatching and has a wide variety of bird species.
