Top 6 Hotels in New York

We present our selection of the most fantastic New York hotels in no specific order.

#1. The Lowell

The Upper East Side’s The Lowell reopened in 2017 following a 3-year refurbishment. Its 74 rooms were updated, but the vital details remained the same. The design elements include the wood-burning fireplace, grisaille wallpaper in the foyer, and important tasseled fobs. Nowhere else in town seems quite as sophisticated.

Fresh flowers abound in every room, and the massive marble bathrooms include separate bathtub and shower spaces. Unlike large luxury chains, there is a small-scale, calm, and individualized vibe that makes up for the lack of frills.

#2. Archer Hotel New York

The Archer Hotel, which stands 22 floors above New York’s Garment District, reflects its surroundings. This hotel is a must-see, featuring a glass-and-steel exterior design, bare brick walls, and 180 rooms, with designs varying from tufted leather headboards to subway-tile bathrooms. However, the hotel’s primary draw is outside the rooms, notably at the Spyglass Rooftop Bar on the 22nd level. You can view some of the city’s loveliest sights of the Empire State and Chrysler Buildings from here.

#3. Moxy NYC Chelsea

Moxy Hotels can give you one of the best experiences with rooms and dining. Its exquisite design blends aspects from the local neighborhood, delicious food and drink selections, and surprisingly reasonable prices. Moxy New York Chelsea, which stands 35 floors high in Manhattan’s Flower District, contains all these qualities. Additional culinary options are on the site, ranging from wake-up coffee and homemade pasta at Feroce Ristorante to nightcaps at the glass-enclosed rooftop club.

#4. Freehand New York

Youthful tourists to New York do not want to squander their cash on a luxurious hotel. It’s preferable to reserve something hygienic, comfy, and well-located. Spend the additional money on that restaurant that everyone is raving about. Freehand embraces this compromise and turns it into something seductive and sophisticated. The rooms, which include queens, doubles, or bunk beds for four people, are simple—almost dorm-like—but enlivened with the artwork. Most significantly, there is a plethora of food and beverage selections.

#5. Mandarin Oriental

Mandarin Oriental’s New York branch is a foundation of the city’s five hotel industries, noted for exceptional service, an excellent spa, and breathtaking views. The 75-foot lap pool faces the Hudson, and the high-end MO Lounge views the Manhattan cityscape. The rooms are ageless in their idea of luxury. The Mandarin Oriental’s spa is an attraction in and of itself. It offers luxurious treatments such as detox wraps, aromatic stone massages, and moisturizing facials.

#6. The Beekman, A Thompson Hotel

It’s not unusual for New Yorkers to scarcely observe the opening of a hotel. After all, this is a city swarming with them—big, tiny, modern, and historic. The landmark was erected in the 1880s and features a 9-story atrium with glass ceilings. The glass skylight now towers over the lobby’s Art Deco bar, where New Yorkers congregate. The rooms are all furnished in a retro style, with dark wood flooring and worn leather headboards. Many hotels claim to have “created the neighborhood,” but in the scenario of the Beekman, this is true.

Final Thoughts

So, whether you’re visiting from out of town or a New Yorker taking a vacation, the above list mentions the most excellent hotels in NYC. And while you’re here, don’t forget to indulge in some of the city’s famous eats, such as scooped bagels, pizzas, hot dogs, falafel, or pastrami sandwiches.
