Alappuzha or Alleppey

The administrative center of the Alappuzha district in the Indian state of Kerala is Alappuzha, also known as Alleppey. One of India’s most popular tourist attractions, the Backwaters of Alappuzha draw millions of Indian and foreign visitors annually. One of Alappuzha’s main attractions is Kuttanad, also known as the “Rice Bowl of Kerala.” The picturesque view of paddy fields and backwaters adds to its wealth. Kuttanad is one of the places to visit in Alappuzha because of the ducks that swim through the water, the birds that fly around them, the coconut trees along the canal sides, the rich toddy from the coconut trees, the houseboats, and the gentle breeze.

#2 Krishnapuram Palace
