Srikakulam is a city in the Andhra Pradesh state of India. The district’s vital rivers that regularly support this city include Nagavali, Vamsadhara, Champavathi, and Bahuda. #1 Srimukhalingam Temple

This temple, which honours Lord Shiva, dates back to the ninth century. Every year, locals participate in Chakratirtha Snana, considering it a holy bath in the river Vamsadhara. It is famous for its unique architecture, which is a blend of Odishan and Dravidian styles. The temple has three main shrines, each dedicated to Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Sun. The main shrine of Lord Shiva is the biggest and the most prominent one.

Even if it may seem remote at first, the unique stone carvings there will wow you. Using just hand tools back then, architects sculpted the temple, demonstrating their devotion to their labour despite the lack of modern instruments.

#2 Kalingapatnam Beach

Western traders discovered this fascinating historical location and used it to trade garments, perfumes, and other items exported from Malaysia and Singapore until 1958. This location, a restricted harbour during the British administration, bears witness to a significant portion of our history. A lighthouse that the British constructed in the past is a testament. Other attractions in this area are Kalingapatnam Beach, Salihundam, a Buddhist stupa, and Madeena Baba’s temple. Nawab Anwaruddin built this sacred site in 1118. It is worthwhile to explore this area’s extensive cocoa plantation.

#3 Seethampeta Adventure Park

Seethampeta Adventure Park is a popular attraction located in the Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh, India. The Adventure Park covers a large area and includes numerous thrilling rides and activities. It also offers a range of adventure sports equipment, such as ziplines, high ropes course, bungee trampolines, paintball, and archery. The Adventure Park lies in Seethampeta Village, which is approximately 30 km from the city of Srikakulam. Visitors can enjoy a range of exciting activities in a safe and controlled environment.

All three adventure activities—air, water, and land—are available for visitors to enjoy for the first time in an Andhra Pradesh park. The pilots of paramotors are highly skilled and are members of the local tribal society, making it a unique attraction.

Ponduru is well-known throughout India among fans of the traditional Indian textile known as khadi, so tourists who share their enthusiasm for this art form can visit Srikakulam. It is a well-known fact that when Mahatma Gandhi visited this prominent tourist destination, he was astounded by the delicacy of the khadi produced there and, thrilled by the product’s quality, he always chose Khadi from Ponduru. Not only that, but many Khadi makers still utilise the fabric made in this country as their first choice for both Indian and Western clothing.

Artisans create beautiful Ponduru Khadi, which involves a long series of meticulous hand operations to produce cotton textiles that can only relate as works of art. Visitors to Ponduru have the opportunity to purchase the famous khadi directly from the weavers and sample this masterpiece.

The Indian state of Andhra Pradesh has a town called Srikurmam in its Srikakulam district. The town is renowned for the Sri Kurmam Temple, which is one of the 108 divya desams, or holy shrines in the Vaishnavite tradition, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The SriKurmam Temple is the only temple in the world where the deity takes the form of Kurma or the Tortoise incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Historians believe that the Eastern Chalukya kings built the temple in the 9th century AD. This temple, or this tourist site, is the most well-liked among visitors to Srikakulam since each component of it is a work of art in and of itself.

Budhiti, an attractive town in Srikakulam, is famous for its bell-metal and brass handicrafts. Andhra Pradesh has listed this tourist destination as a geographical indication handicraft.
