#1 Tringalwadi Fort

Tringalwadi Fort is located precisely behind Ghatandevi Temple. At this fort’s peak, one can see a clear picture of the Konkan and Nashik highways. The breathtaking view from the top is well worth the effort. Nashik is a city of God; hence, one can worship Hanuman Temple at the top.

#2 Bhavli Dam

Bhavli Dam is another place to visit in Igatpuri. Bhavli Dam is a dam mostly visited during the monsoon season, and visiting during the monsoon season feels like being in the lap of nature. The surrounding greenery and blue sky combine to form the most fascinating combination possible. The Bhavli Dam is a source of water for the nearby villages, both for drinking and irrigation. It attracts many tourists all through the monsoon. During the monsoon, one can see a waterfall and a water storage facility.

From the top of Kalsubai Peak, one can view Bhandardara Dam, a water warehouse. Not only is this Bhandardara dam a mini hydropower generator for the nearby villages, but Kalsubai Peak is also rich in Ayurvedic medicines, i.e., it is famous for drugs primarily used in ancient times by our ancestors. Kalsubai peak is also known as the Everest of Maharashtra. Night campaigns are available that are arranged by many of the guides. These nighttime campaigns support barbeques, music, dance, etc., under the sky.

#4 Vihigaon waterfall

Vihigaon waterfall, mostly known as Ashoka Waterfall, is a place to visit for couples and families. It is a place to stay in the monsoon, mostly from mid-July to September. The oxygen here is the purest as there is no pollution, and one can witness village life. Mountains surround the way to reach Ashoka Waterfalls on two sides with lots of greenery. Sometimes it is also seen that there is a way in which water heads toward gravity. This place’s specialty is the color combinations created by Mother Earth.

Igatpuri is well-known for its natural beauty and is the city with the largest Vipassana center, which Mr. S.N. Goenka founded. Most visitors from all over the world come here to find peace. People come here for meditation to escape the hustle of their daily lives, forgetting their daily chores to enjoy inner peace of mind. This place is between two mountains with a two km-long valley. The thing that is not normal about this place is that, to some extent, sunrays could reach it, but it is entirely dark over a distance. You may find many of the side villagers helping the trekkers overcome this obstacle. These villagers are also running a small business to support the trekkers.

Kasara Ghat, also known as Thal Ghat, is another place to visit near Igatpuri. This ghat joins Nashik and Mumbai. It is covered with bushes and grasses, probably giving many shades of nature. There are small mountains one could enjoy and a small waterfall. Kasara Ghat is a piece of heaven on Earth.
