Uttar Pradesh is amongst the 5th biggest states in India. It has also a successful cultural environment. It is a memorable location for the Hindu religion because two Vishnu forms, Lord Krishna and Lord Rama, were born there. The religious temples and travel sites of Uttar Pradesh are well known. Several of its shrines are even described in the famous Hindu mythology and Scriptures. Both national and international travelers visit the temples in Uttar Pradesh. The shrines exist in highly revered and historic cities in India.

#1 Ram Janmabhoomi Temple

Lord Rama who was the seventh manifestation of Lord Vishnu, resided in this area and controlled his realm from there. Some believe that the deities created this town, formerly called Kosaldesa. A small shrine honoring Lord Rama stands at Janmabhoomi, the site of his birth.

#2 Baldeo Dauji Temple

The Baldeo Dauji Temple, where Lord Balarama, Lord Krishna’s brother, is the ruling god, lies about 18 kilometers southeast of Mathura. Scholars believe that Vajranabha placed the god approximately 5000 years ago, in 1535 AD. Hindus place a high significance on the temple, which contributes to its popularity.

Among the most important shrines in all of India is the Banke Bihari Temple. In the 16th century, Swami Haridas, a well-known Hindu holy person and one of the six Gossains, created the shrine of Banke Bihari in Nidhivan. People have only worshiped Banke Bihari at the shrine since its construction in 1864.

#5 Kashi Vishwanath Temple

One of the most well-known and respected temples in Varanasi, the oldest city still in existence, is Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Although the shrine does not let devotees of Abrahamic beliefs, hundreds of travelers, particularly foreigners, go there to see the temple. According to devotees, worshiping Lord Vishwanath results in achieving bliss, all of one’s wishes, and ultimately freedom.

#6 Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple

The Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple is a shrine to Lord Hanuman and sits in the southern region of Varanasi. Thousands of individuals believe that regular visits to the shrine and worship will liberate them from all kinds of crises or obstacles on their way. According to the Vedas, Lord Hanuman protects his followers from the negative effects of Saturn, which is why hundreds of people wait in line to pray to him on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

#7 Sarnath Temple

Lord Buddha preached his first teachings in Sarnath, a well-known Buddhist shrine close to Varanasi. They constructed the Sarnath Temple in the third century BC (Before Christ), and it is present at a range of about 8 KM from Varanasi, the oldest city in India. The Wheel of Law was only started here by the Lord. For Buddhists, it is a place of great religious significance, and hundreds of devotees visit there every year.

#8 Sri Katyayani Peeth Temple

In 1923, devotees built the Shri Katyayani Peeth Temple in Vrindavan at the Pithasthan. They erected the Ashtadhatu goddess of Katyayani Mata in accordance with Sanatana dharma. They contend that Shaiv, Shakti Ganapataya, Saurya, and Vaishnav, are among the five types of gods that should be present in Katyayani’s original temple.
