#1 Lakshmi Narayan Temple

Located in the Arera Hills in  Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, the Lakshmi Narayan Temple, or the Birla Mandir, is a masterwork of architecture that honors Lord Vishnu and Lady Lakshmi while skillfully fusing traditional and contemporary design features. The temple was built with white marble, which gives it an air of immaculate purity and majesty. The intricate carvings and sculptures on the temple are proof of the skill and workmanship of its designers.

#2 Mahaveer Giri

The Mahavir Temple, situated in Bhopal, is a popular tourist destination for the devotees of Lord Mahavir, the founder of Jainism. The temple, which lies in the city’s heart, is familiar with its magnificent architecture, exquisite sculptures, and serene environment. The temple’s exterior has exquisite ornamented sculptures and carvings representing Jain mythology elements.

The walls and ceilings include colorful murals and paintings that feature a variety of Jain saints and goddesses. The temple’s sanctum houses a magnificent idol of Lord Mahavir, crafted from pure marble and adorned with precious gems and stones. With its vast prayer hall and advanced amenities like air conditioning and sound systems, the Mahavir Temple in Bhopal can hold many visitors. Anyone interested in Indian culture and history must see the temple, whether they are a devoted Jain or a tourist.

#3 Bhojeshwar Temple

Located in the Raisen district and by the Betwa River, famous as the Somnath of the East or the Bhojpur Temple. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, whose name is after the ruler of the area, King Bhoj. The Bhojpur temple is unique because it lacks a Mandapa attached to the sanctum, distinguishing it from other temples. The temple’s entrance wall includes engravings of pillar patterns and bells, which add to its striking appearance.

The temple’s main attraction is the 7.5-foot-tall stone Shivling, which rests on a 21-foot-tall platform. An iron stairway leads to the sanctum of the Shivling, which is 18 feet in diameter. Four pillars support the massive stone dome of the temple, which stands at a height of 40 feet. The National Tourism Award declared the Bhojpur temple the “Best Maintained and Disabled-Friendly Monument” in 2015. The temple receives numerous followers during Maha Shivaratri and annually hosts Bhojpur Utsava, a cultural celebration. Although the temple is open for visits all year round, the best months are October to March.

#4 Gufa mandir

Sant Narayan Dasji Mahara established Gufa Mandir, also known as the cave temple, inside a rock cave. The temple is in Lalghati, about 15 km from the city center. There are seven natural caves surrounding the temple; among these, there exists a swayambhu, Shiv Ling. And the Sanskrit students use the remaining caves. Along with Lord Shiva, visitors can also get blessings from Lord Hanuman, Radha-Krishna, Ram, Sita, and Lakshman. Even the scorching summer cannot dry up the natural water source here.
