#1 Parasuram Kund Temple

The temple’s name is so because Lord Parasuram washed off his sins in the Lohit River. The temple is present in the lower region of the Lohit River in the Lohit district. On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, the celebration of the annual festival happens here, and many of the people visit this place to mimic Lord Parasuram, i.e., to wash off their sins. Tourists from neighboring Nepal also worship this temple due to its purity.

#2 Akashganaga or Malinithan Temple

The temple is precisely located in the Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh. Many Hindu devotees visit this temple all-round the year. The temple exhibits typical Odisha-style architecture. According to mythology, when Lord Shiva’s wife, Sati, died, the Lord could not bear the pain and wandered with Sati’s dead body. To bring Lord Shiva out of this trauma, Lord Vishnu chopped the body of Sati into pieces with his Sudarshan chakra; hence this place is a dedication to Shakti worship.

#3 Golden Pagoda Temple

The Golden Pagoda Temple is also famous as Kongmu Kham. It is present in the Namsai district of Arunachal Pradesh. This temple followed the Burmese style of architecture and opened in 2010. This temple is dedicated to Lord Buddha, and Buddhist devotees and tourists from different places visit this temple. The Kathina Civara Dana is the annual festival that people celebrate enthusiastically.

#4 Gompa Temple

Gompa Temple is yet another landmark of the followers of Lord Buddha. It is present in the capital of Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar. The temple is at the hilltop; one can view Itanagar from the top. The temple is on the outskirts, giving tourists peace and calmness.

#5 Meghna Cave Temple

This temple is a beautiful place to visit and worship, mainly from January to April. The location has Sanskrit scriptures and beautiful architecture, eventually soothing the tourists’ eyes. The temple is in a beautiful valley or in nature’s arms, surrounded by mountains, dense evergreen forests, and a swiftly flowing river. The temple witnesses most of its devotees on the occasion of Maha Shivratri. The nearby tourist attractions include Talley valley wildlife sanctuary, Kile Pakho, Dolo Mando, Hapoli, Pine Grove, Tarin Fish Farm, and Shiv Linga.

#6 Taktsang Gompa

It is a tiger den at an altitude of around 12,500 to 13,000 feet on the top of the cliff. It is one of the finest places to visit in the Tawang; in fact, the improvement in the prominence of the place occurred when Guru Padmasambhava visited it in the 8th century. The fact that the guru meditated and sang mantras in these caverns is well known. This place is a spiritual treat to the visitors and a visual one. It is present precisely in the Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh. The best time to visit this place is in the winter season to come across the snowfall and blocked roads.

#7 Shiv Mandir

Mr. Prem Subha is said to have discovered a Shiv Lingam while cutting a tree during the holy month of Shravana. The tree was about to fall, and the tree fell a few kilometers apart, and the Shiv Lingam was safe. This gave a clear picture to the man that this was not a mere stone, and he started believing in Lord Shiva from that instant. One can also view the traces of Lord Parvati and Lord Ganesha with a trunk turning left side. Also, a river is visible to be passing by the bottom of the Lingam. One can visit this place throughout the year. It is present approximately 4 kilometers away from the Hapoli townships. Local taxis are also readily available.

Arunachal Pradesh being the holiest place in India, co-related with the mythological stories of ancient times, attracts many devotees all-round the year. Most people visit these holy places to wash off their sins and to get a new start for the following year.
