When we hear the word ping, we might conclude that this is a messaging tool, and also it monitors the pings or messages being sent on the official platform. No, it is not. Ping Monitoring Tool is used on the networking side to check whether the host is able to reach a particular network. All the operating systems with network capability use this tool and uses the network administration software so that the system uses some sophisticated software. Internet protocol and its associated components are monitored and managed using this tool. Connection quality is also checked with this tool.

This is one of the free tools available in ping monitoring. This is based on cloud services that check the website’s availability in different locations. It also helps to monitor servers and applications. The application makes sure that the application’s performance is at par with its components for ping monitoring. Pingdom uses JavaScript, and it is used throughout the website to monitor the network in the system. Customer data is not collected in the application, and customer data is secured well in the application.

2. ClouDNS

ClouDNS Ping Monitoring is a reliable and easy-to-use tool that helps you track the health and performance of your servers and network. It sends ICMP ping requests from multiple global locations to check if your devices are online and how quickly they respond. With real-time alerts, customizable thresholds (15%, 25%, 50%, 100% packet loss), and detailed performance reports, you can detect issues like downtime or slow responses before they impact users. ClouDNS also offers historical data and global monitoring coverage. Additionally, their clients can take advantage of various monitoring checks, including DNS, TCP, and SSL, and more, making it ideal for both small websites and large infrastructures.

2. SolarWinds Ping Sweep Tool

All the IP addresses are extracted, and this list is used to allocate the server. This is done by uploading a text file that has a list of IP addresses. The scan results can be seen along with the duration of the hosts that use the IP addresses. Thus, the hostname of each device is collected in the system as a list. The network devices are automatically detected with the help of network topology. All the purposes, such as availability of the system, memory utilization, and performance of the network, are done by the tool. IP addresses are used to identify the hosts in the network. Root cause analysis is also done with the help of this tool.

3. PRTG Networking Monitor

When anyone hears PRTG Networking Monitor, they would say that it is powerful and easy for ping monitoring. This works in the manner that the system bandwidth usage or uptime conditions are considered for the classification of the systems. This information is taken from the hosts such as network routers, switches and any other devices. The name itself says that Paessler Router Traffic Grapher uses routers to manage the traffic. This tool checks whether the system is working properly, and there are no networking issues in the system.

This tool helps to ping from one device to multiple devices. All the devices entering into the system are continuously monitored through this tool. This is the only tool that provides the visual interface of what is being done in the system through the network and the hosts.

7. Power Admin

This is a server monitoring tool that helps to monitor the performance of Windows or Linux environments through servers and network devices. Here the data collected is confidential, and it is not stored in cloud-like other tools but in customer-created folders. Network stability is maintained with the help of this tool.
