About Guruvayur Temple

The main deity of the Guruvayur temple is a form of Vishnu, Guruvayurappan. This Hindu temple is located in Guruvayur, a town in Kerala. People from different parts of India and other countries visit this temple to worship in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The temple’s architecture is gorgeous, as seen in Keralan architecture.

Here, people worship the deity, a standing, four-armed Vishnu known as Krishna. Here, the main devotees are Tamilians and Malayalees. You can notice lotus and tulsi garlands while viewing the deity’s image. Guruvayur Devaswom manages the temple under the control of the Keralan government.

Tourists can locate the temple in the Thrissur district of Kerala, India. Here, you can travel by road, rail, or air.

Visitors can book a bus or taxi from anywhere in Kerala or nearby states to travel by road. There are numerous options for private and KSRTC buses. You can take a bus from Madras, Madurai, Mangalore, Udupi, Salem, Coimbatore, and other places.

If you are traveling by rail, you can take a train directly to Guruvayur. The line has a connection to the Madras-Kochi line at Thrissur. You can easily book your tickets online and reach the nearest railway station, Kuttippuram.
