#1 Thiruvalluvar Statue

The construction of the statue between 1990 and 1999 to honor Tamil poet and philosopher Thiruvalluvar. Ganapati Sthapati, a well-known artist, conceived and built the statue, which he presented to the public on January 1, 2000. The gesture symbolizes Aram, Porul, and Inbam, the three stanzas of his literary creation, Thirukkural.

In 1970, the Vivekananda Rock Monument is a tribute to the great Swami Vivekananda. It is a popular tourist destination in Kanyakumari. Swamiji got enlightenment while sitting on a rock and meditating here. Visitors take a ferry ride from the shore to the islands to see the unusual vistas and spend some time at the Monument. Shripada Mandapam has a museum and a study hall where you may learn about Vivekananda’s work and life. Visitors can meditate and seek serenity and purity in a meditation hall named “Dhyana Mandapam,” located next to the Memorial.

#3 Bhagavathy Amman Temple

The Goddess Kanyakumari Amman is at the 3000-year-old Bhagavathy Amman Temple. The preservation of classic scriptures of the epics Mahabharata and Ramayana, as well as the sacred Vedas, at the temple. The Goddess idol within the temple is stunning. She has a rosary in her hand and gold jewelry in her nostrils that glows when she sees a spark of light. The temple is also considered one of the 51 Shakti Peetham, where Goddess Sati’s body dropped while carrying by devastated Lord Shiva.
