Indore, the biggest town in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, has had a trade history since the sixteenth century. The city attracted many business people from time to time because it was the commercial hub between southern India and Delhi.

In 1724, Peshwa Baji Rao I built Indore as a significant town under the Maratha Empire. During the British Raj, Indore was among India’s 21 Gun Salute Princely States. The Indore district is Madhya Pradesh’s financial capital and is the headquarters of the Madhya Pradesh Stock Exchange. Indore, the cleanest city in India, is the educational hub with two significant institutions, IIT and IIM, and also a fabulous tourist attraction for travel enthusiasts.

#1 Kaanch Mandir

The Kaanch Mandir is a one-of-a-kind Jain temple and a masterpiece of magnificent architecture. The temple has unique features, as the entire structure includes glasses and mirrors. In the early twentieth century, a wealthy businessman named Seth Hukumchand built this temple. The temple’s floors, walls, and doors are of various varieties of glassware, and its beauty and radiance amaze visitors.

The interiors showcase cut glassware, chandeliers, and pictures from the Mahabharata and Jain literature on the glass walls. The Onyx stone sculptures of Adinath, Shantinath, and Chandraprabha, the three Thirthankaras, are the temple’s most appealing features.

#2 Rajwada Palace

The Rajwada Palace is Indore’s significant monument. Holkars built this palace, which stands out due to its spectacular seven-story construction. It is a famous tourist attraction for all tourists.

#3 Jain Temple in Gomatgiri

Gomatgiri is a pilgrimage site near Indore known for its Jain temple. The temple contains a 21-foot Gomateshwara statue that resembles the figure in Shavanbalagola. In the same compound, there are 24 marble temples dedicated to 24 Tirthankaras.

#4 Kamala Nehru Prani Sangrahalay (Indore Zoo and Ralamandal Wildlife Sanctuary)

The Indore Municipal Corporation manages the Indore Zoo, also known as the Kamala Nehru Prani Sangrahalay. It is India’s most advanced zoo, featuring computerized booking, a touchless admittance system, and an animal health app, among other features. This zoo opened in 1974 and is the largest and most well-known in India, hosting a diverse range of animals and birds from all parts of the world.

Another attraction for nature lovers is the Ralamandal Wildlife Sanctuary, where you can witness the variety of wildlife and the fantastic diversity of nature.

#5 Chappan Dukaan And Sarafa Bazar

If you enjoy trying new dishes, Chappan Dukaan is the place to go. This location includes a variety of street food vendors selling delectable food to spice up your taste buds.

Sarafa Bazar is another market where you may get gorgeous meenakari and brass jewelry.

#6 The Lal Bagh Palace

Lal Bagh Palace is a century-old Holkar royal palace. This palace’s stunning architecture includes gates resembling Buckingham Palace in London.

#7 Bada Ganapati Temple

The Bada Ganapati Temple is on the west of the Kaanch Mandir. In 1875, a Ujjain native placed the 8-meter-tall Ganesha idol in this small temple. He made the statue out of fenugreek seeds, soil from the seven famous Hindu pilgrimages (Ayodhya, Kanchi, Mathura, Kashi, Mayapuri, Avantika, and Dwarka), and five different varieties of diamond powder, known as Pancha Ratna (diamond, pearl, ruby, emerald, and topaz).

#8 Gulawat Valley

Gulawat Lotus Valley is a lovely sunrise spot where you may delight in the scenery of Indore. Another feature in this area is the 100-meter-long bridge.

#9 The Khajrana Temple

Rani Ahilyabai Holkar built the Khajrana Ganesha Temple in Indore. This temple, dedicated to Ganesha, draws thousands of tourists each year. The biggest festival of this temple is Ganesh Chathurthi. According to legend, authorities kept the Ganesha idol inside a well to prevent damage. In 1735, Rani Ahilyabai of the Holkar dynasty recovered the model and established this temple in its exact location.

#10 White Church

The European-style White Church is a lovely place displaying the city’s religious beliefs. The White Church in Indore is the city’s oldest and most spectacular church. Sir Robert Hamilton built this beautiful church in 1858.

#11 Sarafa Bazar

It is a hub of old streets which is present in the middle of the city. During the daytime, explore the glistening jewelry and enjoy the street food in the nightlife.
