Hampi, also known as Hampi or Hampe, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with popular Tourist Places in Hampi found in Hampi town, Vijayanagara district, Karnataka, India. Hampi served as the capital of the Vijayanagara Empire in the fourteenth century. It was a city with defenses. #2 Vijaya Vittala Temple

The Vittala Temple, also known as the Vitthala Temple in Hampi, is a historic structure renowned for its outstanding architecture and exceptional craftsmanship. It is yet another popular Tourist Places in Hampi. It is one of Hampi’s biggest and most well-known buildings. The Temple is close to the banks of the Tungabhadra River in the northeastern region of Hampi.

It was built in the 15th century under the rule of Devaraya II, one of the emperors of the Vijayanagara Empire. The most renowned emperor of the Vijayanagara dynasty, Krishnadevaraya, expanded and improved several areas of the Temple. The finely carved Stone Chariot is one of the Vijayanagara kingdom’s most magnificent structures. The main draws of this Vijaya Vittala Temple are the Maha Mantapa, melodic pillars, and Stone Chariot.

#3 Lotus Mahal

A visit to Hampi is not complete without going to the Lotus Mahal. It is one of the fine architectural palaces recognized by its structure resembling a lotus. The Zenana Enclosure, a separate region occupied by the royal women of the Vijayanagara Dynasty, has this magnificent structure. The magnificent old building is also called Kamal Mahal and Chitragani Mahal. The Lotus Temple is one of the fortunate buildings in Hampi that survived the fall of the Empire. The palace is a symmetrically constructed two-story building. It is enclosed by a rectangular wall and contains four towers with pyramidal shapes that resemble lotuses. Beautiful carvings of birds and aquatic creatures may be seen on the walls and pillars. One of the best sites to visit in Hampi is due to the beautifully preserved and unique designs.

The thriving Hampi Bazaar in the Hampi village is home to jewelry, clothing, and antiques. The Hampi Bazaar offers its patrons a wide variety of goods. One particular Hampi attraction is the Hampi Bazaar. The Hampi Bazaar is a well-known marketplace that extends for more than a kilometer and is situated in front of the Virupaksha Temple. Old pavilions can be seen on both sides of the road that runs through the market. Hampi served as the administrative center of the Vijayanagar empire in the fourteenth century. Another name for it is “Virupaksha Bazaar.” UNESCO has designated the location as a World Heritage Site.

#5 Queen’s Bath

One of the main tourist attractions in Hampi is The Queen’s Bath, an architectural wonder that showcases a gigantic bath. This aquatic enclosure, a portion of the Royal Enclosure, was used as the Royal bath during the Vijayanagara Empire. The Royal Bath, over 500 years old, is still popular with tourists and is known for its ornately carved balconies and other features.

The Queen’s Bath is a complex building with a plain façade and an intricate interior constructed in an Indo-Islamic style. It is a rectangular structure with elaborate balconies all around.
