Who doesn’t know Tom Cruise, originally known as Thomas Cruise Mapother IV? We all have grown up watching his movies since our childhood. You will not believe this actor and producer is 60 years old but can you guess his age? Otherwise, a big no.

For almost three decades in Hollywood, Tom has never looked back in his career since the 1980s. He is known for his movies like Mission Impossible series, The Mummy, Top Gun, Minority Report, Collateral, The Firm, Rain Man, and The Last Samurai. This world icon is known for the memorable characters that he has played over the years. That’s why he won the Golden Globes Awards three times, and Tom got nominated for Oscars three times. Tom’s latest release, Mission Impossible: Fallout, collected $ 775 globally, making his most significant success to date.

The Early Life of Tom Cruise

Tom is an actor, and how could we expect his life to be not dramatic? You read that right Tom didn’t have a fancy childhood as many of you might have thought. He grew up in poverty, and his father was not loving and caring. Tom dreaded him as a child because of his unstable behavior. Tom grew up in a Catholic family in New York before shifting to Canada in his fourth grade because his father joined the army. Tom’s mother was a special education teacher, and the family wasn’t well-off. He wanted to be a priest briefly time but couldn’t be one.

Time flew, and Tom now had an interest in Football in high school. One thing why he didn’t become a footballer then? Cruise seems more interested in living a good life; he drank beer before a football match. Finally, Tom graduated from high school and later continued his acting career.

His Early Days in Acting

Tom started his career in the 1980s with the movie Endless Love. He became a supporting actor in an American Drama. What made Cruise’s career was movies like Risky Business and All the Right Moves. He established himself as an action hero and secured a place in the heart of audiences. Tom was aware of his steps in the industry before he could make a mark in Hollywood. He moved ahead with selected movies that suffice his growth and become the actor we know today. After all the years of hard work, Tom was yet to become the star he wanted to become one day.

The Decade ended with an award at Golden Globes and a nomination for BAFTA Award.

The Decade 1990s

The Decade marked Tom’s success and established his career in the most full-fledged manner. He came up with the best series of all time, which he also produced. The Mission Impossible series debuted with a bang, criticized for casting Jim Phelps in a negative role.

Ethan Hunt, the superspy, became the most desirable characteristic of all time, especially among female audiences. Ethan Hunt became Tom’s second identity and is still known as the same character among audiences today.

The Decade of the 2000s

The Decade represents the culmination of his career. This era is well-defined as an established actor adored by the audience for his charming appearance and great action. Ethan Hunt came again in Mission Impossible: 2, and it shocked everyone with its gun fu moves. The second series was a massive success at the box office, with a whopping collection of $547 million overseas. Tom Cruise was a commercial hit machine during this period and became one of the leading actors in Hollywood.
