The temple is open to visitors throughout the year. They also hold special ceremonies and festivals on various occasions. There are thousands of devotees at these events, which are very important to the spiritual life of the temple community as a whole. Some major festivals celebrated at the temple include Guru Purnima, Vijayadashami, and the birthday of Sai Baba.

Born Place

Sai Baba, the revered spiritual leader and guru, was believed to have been born in the village of Pathri in Maharashtra in 1838. His early life remains mysterious, with debates about his actual name. Some claim it was Haribhau Bhusari, while others believe it was Sainath. However, he became known as Sai Baba, and his followers recognized him as a spiritual leader.

Sai Baba’s teachings of love, compassion, selflessness, and miraculous abilities gained widespread recognition. He emphasized that all religions were different paths leading to the same goal, encouraging his followers to respect and honor all faiths. Service to others was important in his teachings, prompting many devotees to establish charitable organizations to aid the underprivileged.

Residing primarily in Shirdi, Sai Baba lived in a humble hut, dedicating his days to prayer and meditation. His followers, seeking his spiritual guidance and counsel, formed a large community around him. Despite his modest lifestyle, Sai Baba was renowned for his kindness and generosity, earning the love and respect of all who knew him.

In 1918, Sai Baba left this mortal world, but his teachings and legacy continue to inspire millions globally. His tomb, situated within the temple complex in Shirdi, is a sacred pilgrimage site for devotees.

Alongside the main temple, the complex houses various other structures and facilities. These include a museum that chronicles Sai Baba’s life and teachings, a library, and a research center. Also, guest houses and dormitories are available for visitors wishing to stay within the premises.
