Greece

Paradise on land is nowhere, but on the Greek beaches, you will find somewhere else besides the ancient European country. As Alexander the Great was once famous in Greece, now the beaches are ruling the tourist sea vacation list. The favorite places in Greece with the best beaches are Crete, Naxos, Milos, Lefkada, and Rhodes. Grecian water is clean and has the finest sands spread across the coastline. Greece is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea to the South, the Aegean Sea to the East, and the Ionian Sea to the West, making the country the best location for beaches.

Let’s check out the top beaches in Greece on the list below to help you plan a sea vacation this summer.

Top 5 Beaches in Greece

#1 Plaka Beach, Naxos

Turquoise water spread to infinity with long and wide golden sand are the characteristic features of Plaka beach in Naxos. There are also plenty of beachfront cafe bars in the region, some of which will deliver your drinks and snacks right to the beaches. A few small range resorts, hotels, and restaurants are present by the beach to serve you. Earlier famous as nudists’ beach has a new identity with its growing popularity. Beaches in Greece are open to nude bathing, but they have been moved to the south by the increasing presence of families. You can rent umbrellas and sun loungers on some parts of the beach. Other beaches near Plaka are Orkos, Agia Anna Beach, and Agios Prokopios Beach.

Europe is a popular tourist destination, and the beaches in Crete are clean and well-maintained. Amenities available at the beach include umbrellas and sun loungers at an affordable rate. If you go after noon, ensure to bring your umbrellas, as most of the time are unavailable due to rush. You can enjoy a sunny lunch at Taverns with your family or partner. Want to enjoy water sports at Elafonisi? They arrange kite water surfing and provide the best training facility for beginners. Rejoice in the beach vibe at one of the fantastic beaches in Greece.

#3 Platys Gialos, Mykonos

The shallow waters of Mykonos, sunbeds with shelter, and the fantastic crowd will surely attract your eyeballs and excite you to visit Mykonos beach once. You can ride in a water taxi to the nearest Paradise and Super Paradise beach. You can book hotels just by the beach; every hotel has a sea view, an outdoor swimming pool, a hot water jacuzzi, and excellent restaurants that serve the best seafood and Intercontinental cuisine.

#4 Sarakiniko, Milos

The smooth, long white rocks across the beach are unique. The shallow waters are perfect for just lying and floating on the water and feeling the waves crashing you every other second. The rocks are so high at the beach that you can try jumping in the seas for adventure. Sun loungers or beds are unavailable on Sarakiniko; lie down on the smooth rocks and enjoy the glittering Sun. You can go for quick dips in the water to cool off the temperature and lie down again.

Beware of the sea urchins, and visit the beach before noon or after 3 in the afternoon, as the rocks get extremely heated with Sun overhead. Bring your snacks or drinks to the beach for munching, as there is nothing much to offer you.
