Introduction to Aside Tag in HTML
Aside tag in HTML mainly used to display important content of the webpage. It works as a highlighter to focus on the main things from the webpage. This tag in HTML is also used to make a division or make a partition for the web page, but this is used to focus only on the web page’s main contents. It is used to make the design of the webpage easier, which will give more clarity to included HTML document. The main placement area on the webpage for aside tag is in either sidebar or into the call-out boxes.
- The <aside>tag included into HTML code within <body>tag. This is used to define the biography of the author, advertisement, page definition, profile details, and some important links. It can be used anywhere within the webpage. It’s mainly used within HTML 5.
- It should be used either within an article element or outside of this article element. While using this tag with the article element, it must be included the article’s content. And whenever it is to be used outside of the article element, then it must include data related to the whole webpage.
- This is considered as a block-level element in HTML. One may be able to use both block-level elements and inline elements within the <aside> tag or into the text element. It doesn’t depend upon any specific attributes in HTML.
- But like other tags,<aside> tag also supports global attributes as well as event attributes.

- Draggable: It defines whether the element is either draggable or not.

- onafterprint: This attribute is used to run the script whenever the document is getting printed.
- onerror: Whenever any error occurs, then this attribute executed.
- onmessage: This script occurs when a message is triggered.
- onpageshow: Whenever a user is navigating from one page to another, this event attributes work to this event.
- onstorage: This attribute runs the script whenever the web storage area is get updated.
