Risepoint, a global education technology company that supports online programs at more than 100 universities and colleges, announced on September 29 that it had received three Risepoint Comparably Awards recognizing its workplace culture. The categories were Happiest Employees, Best Perks & Benefits, and Best Work-Life Balance.
Workplace awards come in many forms, and they aren’t all built the same way. Below is a closer look at what these three awards measure, how Comparably decides who wins, and where the recognition fits in the company’s record.
What is Comparably?
Comparably is an employee review and salary platform owned by ZoomInfo. It holds about 20 million anonymous employee ratings for roughly 70,000 companies in the United States and Canada, covering large, small, and medium-sized organizations across nearly 20 workplace categories. Employers use it for workplace culture and compensation research, and job seekers use it to see how employees rate a company from the inside.
How Does Comparably Choose Award Winners?
The Risepoint Comparably Awards are based on anonymous feedback from current employees gathered over a 12-month period. For this cycle, employees rated their employers between August 24, 2025, and August 24, 2026.
No application and no panel of judges weigh submissions. Responses are compared with those from similarly sized companies, so a mid-sized firm isn’t measured against either a small startup or a global conglomerate. The final data set for this cycle included 20 million ratings across 70,000 companies.
What Does the Happiest Employees Award Measure?
Comparably evaluates Happiest Employees based on employee feedback about several factors: the workplace environment, compensation and benefits, excitement about work and colleagues, connection to company goals, and company pride. It is the broadest of the three categories Risepoint won, because it combines practical concerns like pay with harder-to-fake signals like pride and connection to the mission.
What Does Best Perks & Benefits Cover?
This award considers employee feedback about benefits, paid time off, and other offerings. In practical terms, it reflects whether employees find the support they receive beyond salary meaningful in their lives.
The Best Perks & Benefits recognition is one of the three Risepoint Comparably Awards that highlight the company’s approach to employee support and workplace culture.
What Goes Into Best Work-Life Balance?
The work-life category looks at hours worked, breaks, time off, and burnout. It measures whether the job leaves people enough time and energy for the rest of their lives, and whether the pace is sustainable.
Why Does It Matter That the Awards Come from Employee Feedback?
Many corporate awards involve some form of self-promotion. A company writes an application,
gathers testimonials, or pays an entry fee. Comparably’s model removes that step. The only input is what employees report, anonymously, over a full year.
Fernando Bleichmar, Risepoint CEO, pointed to that feature directly. “These awards are especially meaningful because that feedback comes directly from our employees and reflects the experience we are working together to create every day,” he said in the announcement.
Who Are the Employees Doing the Rating?
Risepoint has more than 1,400 employees. The company is remote-first, with staff across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia, and it has no single headquarters.
Those employees help regional universities launch and grow online programs for working adults. Their work includes the technology behind the programs, integrated marketing and initial student outreach, enrollment support, and student retention services. Universities own the curriculum, admissions, instruction, and financial aid, and the same faculty teach the courses on campus.
What Has Risepoint Done to Earn These Ratings?
The company’s announcement described three areas of focus. First, flexibility in how and where employees work. The second is investment in benefits and resources that support employees at different stages of their lives and careers. The third is creating opportunities for employees to build relationships and contribute to the company’s culture.
“We want our employees to be able to do impactful work while having the flexibility and support they need in their lives outside of work,” Bleichmar said. “That means feeling connected to why their work matters, supported by their teams, and able to make space for the people and priorities that matter to them.”
These priorities help provide context for the Risepoint Comparably Awards, which reflect how employees perceive their workplace experience.
Has Risepoint Won Comparably Awards Before?
Yes, several times. In 2024, the company appeared on Comparably’s lists for Happiest Employees, Best Company Perks & Benefits, Best Company Work-Life Balance, and Best Leadership Teams. That year, Bleichmar received a Best CEO award, placing him in the top 5% of chief executives at large companies, and Risepoint was honored for Best Company Culture, where it ranked in the top 10% of large companies.
In 2025, it received a Best Leadership Team award and was also recognized for Best Company Outlook.
This history places the latest Risepoint Comparably Awards within a broader record of workplace recognition across employee satisfaction, leadership, benefits, and company culture.
How Many Comparably Awards Has Risepoint Won in 2026?
Seven. In June, the company received four: Best Career Growth, Best Leadership Teams, Best
Sales Teams, and Best Product & Design Teams. The September round added Happiest Employees, Best Perks & Benefits, and Best Work-Life Balance.
Did the Keypath Acquisition Affect the Results?
Not directly. Risepoint announced its acquisition of Keypath Education’s North American operations on Aug. 18, 2026, and the Comparably rating window closed six days later, on Aug.24. The awards therefore mostly reflect how Risepoint employees rated the company in the year before that deal. The acquisition added more than 20 university partnerships and a clinical placement network that has supported more than 55,000 student placements.
What Does Risepoint Do For Students?
The company supports online programs at more than 100 not-for-profit universities and colleges in five countries, with programs concentrated in nursing, healthcare, teaching, business, technology, and public service. It has supported more than 825,000 students, and more than 90% of students in Risepoint-supported programs are working adults.
In a 2025 independent Ipsos study, most graduates of Risepoint-supported programs finished without debt, and 92% agreed that their online degree let them keep living and working in their local communities.
