First, we will tell you about the purchase plan of both software and ZBrush offers different types of packages as for Single User you have to pay $35.95 as a monthly subscription. You will have all the advanced features in this package also.

The second one is Single User for 6 months subscription and for this package of ZBrush, you have to make a payment of $179.95. You will have all those features in it also which you find in the monthly plan.

For the Single User, the Perpetual license of ZBrush makes a payment of $895 and it is a one-time payment for a year. All will automatically rebill every month or year and you can cancel it any time.

Now if we tell you about Mudbox then it also offers you three type of package and these are for an annual subscription you have to pay $90, for a monthly subscription you should make a payment of $10 and the third one is for a 3-year subscription package. You can purchase it by paying $245 and can check other related information from the official website of Autodesk.

You will have a free trial option from ZBrush but in Mudbox, there is no type of offers available.

If you work with ZBrush then it uses the ZRemesher tool for making topology while Mudbox uses Retopologize for the same type of work. This way both software do the same type of work but with their own technique.

Map Baking is one of the steps of the sculpting process and ZBrush has a little bit different way of doing it. It needs to subdivide polygon mesh and project the details into that subdivided geometry. After this, it calculates the normal and does displacement maps on the final geometry.

In the same concern, Mudbox is easier to handle and flexible to use. In Mudbox, you can choose the same type of geometry and then work on different levels or on wholly new geometry.

Mudbox has a very straightforward user interface that can handle very smoothly but at high poly-counts, the brushes start getting clumsy and if you work on very low poly-counts then it can break the symmetry with verts that will not be in the exact same place on both sides. On the other hand, you will find ZBrush easy to handle if you give your best to learn it.

These are some special facts and features of ZBrush and Mudbox and now you can find out those details from here which are relevant to your requirement.
