Calculate the annualized rate of return of the mutual fund investment during the holding period if John sold it off on December 31, 2016.**

Calculate the annualized rate of return earned by the investor from the bond investment.**

**Solution:**

Gains (coupons) is calculated using the formula given below

**Gains (coupons) = Coupon Rate * Par Value * Holding Period**
